In this introductory article, we’ll present players ranked from 20th to 6th place. The top five players will be revealed later.

Bukayo Saka made a name for himself in the Premier League during the 2022–23 season, making it impossible to forget. His goal involvement equates to 0.7 per 90 minutes.
This season saw Saka become the sixth-youngest player in Premier League history to record 50 goals and assists, behind only Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, Robbie Fowler, Cesc Fabregas and Chris Sutton.
18. Ronald Araujo
Ronald Araujo made a significant impact on the pitch despite his limited appearances due to two injuries. The Uruguayan central defender had a 94% duel-winning rate and consistently made a difference for his team.
Although he played in only 29 matches in all competitions this season, his performances earned him a spot in the top 20 players.
17. Nicolò Barella
Nicolo Barella had a successful season with Inter Milan, winning the Coppa Italia and Super Coppa Italiana.
Although his team fell just short of triumph in the Champions League final against Manchester City, Barella played a crucial role in Simone Inzaghi’s tactics.
He consistently performed at a high level throughout the season and was recognised as the best midfielder of the season, earning a place among the top 20 players. This is the fifth consecutive time he has been included in the Serie A team of the season.
16. Marc-André ter Stegen
Ter Stegen played a vital role in Barcelona’s successful La Liga campaign. The goalkeeper of the German national team deservedly received the La Liga MVP award, keeping 26 clean sheets in 38 matches and conceding only 18 goals in total.
15. Lautaro Martínez
Lautaro Martínez was among the best 15 players of the season in Serie A, nominated as a substitute.
The Argentine World Cup champion scored 28 goals and provided 11 assists in 57 matches across all competitions.
Although he had the opportunity to win both the World Cup and the league in the same season, a defeat in Istanbul final prevented him from achieving this unique feat.
14. Jude Bellingham
Jude Bellingham was named the best player of the Bundesliga season. As the second vice-captain of Borussia Dortmund and the youngest captain in Schwarzgelben’s history, he achieved remarkable milestones.
Despite Dortmund losing their grip on the top of the table, Bellingham had an amazing season, scoring 14 goals and providing 7 assists in 42 matches across all competitions.
He will join Real Madrid next season, wearing shirt number 5.
13. Rodri
Best defensive midfielder in current season? Undoubtedly! Rodri made history for Manchester City, scoring the winning goal in the Champions League final against Inter Milan.
Although it took him 44 matches to score his debut goal in the Champions League, it was a memorable one. UEFA named him the best player of the Champions League season, solidifying his place among the top 20 players.
12. Robert Lewandowski
“I think the path to Ballod d’Or is shorter from Barcelona than from Bayern,” – said briefly Polish striker who joined Blaugrana from Munich side at the start of the season.
Despite not winning the Ballon d’Or, he won the La Liga title with Barcelona. His performances earned him the Pichichi award, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 23 goals.
Robert Lewandowski had a notable season with Barcelona, scoring 33 goals and providing 8 assists in 46 matches across all competitions.
11. Ilkay Gündogan
Ilkay Gündogan played a crucial role in Pep Guardiola’s system at Manchester City. With 51 matches played, he scored 11 goals and provided 7 assists, demonstrating his impact on the team.
Gündogan was instrumental in Manchester City’s treble-winning season, and there is significant interest in him from Barcelona, Arsenal, and Saudi Arabian teams.
10. Antoine Griezmann
Antoine Griezmann had a successful season, finishing as the vice-champion of the world and securing third place in La Liga.
The French forward scored 16 goals and provided 19 assists in 48 matches. He displayed exceptional performances for both the national team and his club, nearing the legendary Luis Aragonés’ who holds all-time club record of 172 goals. Griezmann is a 15 goal-shy from the legendary sricker.
9. Martin Ødegaard
Martin Ødegaard emerged as a leader for Arsenal and the best player of the season, playing 45 matches in the season, with 37 of them in the Premier League. He was named the best player of the month in December.
Ødegaard’s contributions extended beyond numbers, as he controlled the pace of the game and dictated the flow. He ended the Premier League season with 15 goals and 8 assists.
Despite Norway’s underwhelming performance as a national team, Ødegaard stood out with strong individual performance.
8. Harry Kane
Harry Kane participated in all 38 Premier League matches, scoring 30 goals and providing 3 assists. His remarkable performances placed him among the top goal scorers in the league.
Despite missing the key penalty against France, he still excelled at the World Cup, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. Kane scored a total of 37 goals and made 8 assists in 58 matches.
7. Victor Osimhen
Victor Osimhen had an outstanding season, winning the Serie A Golden Boot with 26 goals. He played a pivotal role in Napoli’s title-winning campaign and was recognized as the best striker of the Serie A season. Osimhen played 39 matches, scoring 31 goals and providing 5 assists.
6. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Georgian footballer Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had a remarkable season, making a strong impression in his debut year at Napoli.
He was named the best player of the season and received the best player of the month award in Serie A three times. Kvaratskhelia scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists, cementing his position as the best assistant in the league.
With his remarkable effort Napoli ended 33-year-drought period and won third Scudetto in the entire history.
He also made significant contributions in the Champions League, ending the tournament with 2 goals and 4 assists.
In Georgian national team, Kvaratskhelia scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in six official matches giving opportunity his country to participate back to back Nations League semifinals.
